- 1cupunsalted buttersoftened

- 0.75cupbrown sugarpacked
- 2teaspoonsvanilla extract
- 2large eggs
- 2cupssemi-sweet chocolate chips
- 0sea salt flakesfor sprinkling

Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.

In a stand mixer, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium until light and fluffy, 3 minutes.

Add eggs and vanilla, beat to combine.

Reduce speed to low and gradually add flour mixture, mixing until just combined.

Stir in chocolate chips by hand. Cover dough and chill 30 minutes (or up to 48 hours).

Preheat oven to 375°F. Line baking sheets with parchment.

Scoop 2-tablespoon balls onto prepared sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers look slightly underdone.

Sprinkle with flaky sea salt immediately. Cool on sheets 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
