- 4large eggs
- 1cupwhole milk
- 0.25cupheavy cream
- 2tablespoonsgranulated sugar
- 2teaspoonsvanilla extract
- 1teaspoonground cinnamon

- 2tablespoonsunsalted butter
- 0maple syrupfor serving
- 1cupfresh berriesfor serving
- 0powdered sugarfor dusting (optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 200°F. Place a wire rack on a baking sheet and put in oven.

In a wide bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.

Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat until foamy.

Working one at a time, dip a bread slice in the custard for 5 seconds per side. Let excess drip off.

Cook in the skillet until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. Transfer to the oven rack to keep warm.

Repeat with remaining slices, adding more butter as needed.

Serve immediately with maple syrup, berries, and a dusting of powdered sugar.
